The Protea Hotel Group has taken up commercial property to let in Johannesburg, at Constantia Park, in the upmarket and fast growing Constantia Kloof Basin. This tenant contract was entered into with Growthpoint Properties which applies for 10 year duration.
As a mixed-use site optimised for corporate purposes, Constantia Park, boasting 71 000 square metres that also occupied by MTN and Huawei and IT Solutions amongst other commutations and technology firms; thus this should be a viable setting for the hotel group – especially when considering business travellers for whom connectivity and communications infrastructure is key.
There are many advantages for companies to operate from the Constantia Kloof basin which is situated on Hendrik Potgieter and 14th Avenue, whether it’s from a logistical perspective or an amenities point of view. For one, the business hub enjoys exceptional frontage to the N1, with rush hour traffic being against the busiest flows. The commercial node also is near a Shell service station as well as a Virgin Active Gym – not to mention countless other hotels and restaurants from which The Protea Hotel Group will be able to leverage in terms of equity. The business park is also accessible from Johannesburg and Pretoria via New Road and Olifantfontein Rd interchanges.
Another attraction which will enhance the hotel’s new setting will be the Cradle of Humankind, a world heritage site; thus guests from afar and nearby will consider it either as sleep-over or via-point en-route to their destination, even as a more competitive option relative to other hotel quotes at their disposal.
The Lanseria International Airport is not far from the Constantia Kloof site – being a mere 30 minute drive from Constantia Office Park, which should be a major convenience for international and domestic guests and make for easy shuttling to and fro the hotel.
The Protea Hotel Roodepoort is the second international hotel to join the Protea Hospitality Group this year.
